A little about me

 100_1355

My name is Colin MacArthur

I live in Sydney, originally from the UK

I work in market research

I am a dad to twin boys.

This is just a collection of my thoughts and the occasional random things I might see or do. It has no “theme” as such and no “agenda”, just me muttering away.

The views I express on here are mine and mine alone they are not endorsed by my employer or any other third party

Read your comment about the Pink PR (?) firm that dropped Goldmark as a client after it decided to not drop advertising from Austereo during the whole Kyle fiasco. Your views were spot on! I’ve said the same thing – sponsors are hypocritical – throw money for the ratings then grow a moral conscience! Puhlease!!!

Hi Colin, my name is Alen and I have been reading your blog. I’m also 40 (birthday was in June 2011) and I’ve been trying to become a dad for the last 5 years. What a journey! The ups, the downs, the good and the bad. It’s been a very interesting journey so far…
    Kind Regards
    Alen

    Hey Colin,

I’m writing on behalf* of Destination NSW. Destination NSW is the lead government agency for the New South Wales (NSW) tourism and major events sector. They have two key consumer websites – Sydney.com and Visitnsw.com.

I just wanted to shoot you a quick mail about the following page: https://macarthursmutterings.wordpress.com/2009/01/15/watsons-bay/ — I noticed you are linking to Sydney.com.au with the text: ‘Watsons Bay’

Unfortunately, Sydney.com.au is privately owned and is profiting from squatting on this domain, it is also currently for sale for $1m+! (http://www.smh.com.au/digital-life/digital-life-news/capital-city-websites-up-for-sale-20130306-2fl05.html).

May I ask that change this link to the official tourist site, the following link would be perfect: http://www.sydney.com/destinations/sydney/sydney-east/watsons-bay. I would be extremely grateful.

Thank you very much. Feel free to contact me via email, or on +61423257385 if you have any questions.

    Cam

Hi Colin, we are all together for an evening and were just thinking about you so thought we would look you up to say hi and tell you that we still think about you. Hope you are doing well. Lots of love from the formerly Beechwood Terrace people! Kate, Sal, Nick and Matt xx
